Supercharger Install

i live in tulsa, ok and i'm looking for a shop to install a roushcharger for me. the only shop in my area is CarFx and they quoted me for 8.5k with no dyno tune. i'm leaning towards taking a trip up to brenspeed, but i was wondering if there was a reputable tuner & installer closer to me. it's a 11hr drive to indiana from my house. i really don't mind taking the trip up there, but if there is someone that's just as good that's closer i would consider it.

ya, they're ridiculous. they acted like it was a good deal and they were doing one a week. the same people wanted $300 to intall a boss mani.

I'm pretty sure he means $8.5k for the blower and install but no tune. Which is still rediculous imo.

give kurt borton from midcoast performance here in st louis a call. hes got an md dyno , does sct tuning, and built the worlds fastest 3v car. 3144201321. tell him tom mcpherson told you to call him. his website is down at the moment for upgrading. great guy amazing fabricator. hes tuning my 2012 5.0 vortech car. just leave him a message if he doesnt answer of shoot him a text. thanks

no i did it myself but he has pretty much been overseeing the whole thing.

how much does a normal quote go for installing the roush at a shop. think ive heard $75 an hour x 10 to 12 hours? is that about right?

Brenspeed said $800 for labor and $600 for a dyno tune. Plus $5999 for the SC, so $7400. $1100 cheaper than my local shop with a dyno tune.

that is what ive seen but he will smash that.
realistically. buying the roush tuner kit, having it installed, buying an sct3 and custom tune should come in right at 7kish. but thats just what i think. then if you want different pulleys or injectors and such those are extra.

Buy a mail order tune and Roush supercharger kit from Justin at VMP TUNING.He really has the tune perfected with this kit.

Hey Nogi its quadcammer5.0 I like the St Louis option. That's what I would do. 7k sounds great.

Damn I love the vortech kit as well. That may be the one I end up going with. Also may give the boss mani a shot to see what it would do for me.

There is a member(Kevinp) on this forum with this kit and with a VMP safe mail order tune that have gone 10.83et 127mph in the 1/4 mile with a safe VMP mail order tune, 90 mm pulley,7.5psi,stock headers and drag radials.I think he has put close to 10,000 miles on his 5.0 after the supercharger kit install.Just saying.

if you come here to st louis you can stay at ameristar casinos hotel. they have a 5 star spa/resort. bout 5 minutes from kurts shop and old town st charles.. vacation and supercharging solved. lol

Sho me speed in Springfield Mo.

Call Wes at Sho me speed in Nixa Mo. 417 724 1330. They have an in house dyno and everything you will need to get you up and running. They're tuning my 12 gt with a procharger stage 2 on e85 on the dyno for me. Depending on where you live in Tulsa, they are about 2.5 to 3 hours away from you.

Kevin is the guy that got me going to VMP. I've got over 5K on my Roush now.

OP, if you want to come to Memphis, give Joe at Dynospeed a call. They did a great job on my install. Dyno'd the car after the install and worked with Justin at VMP while it was on the dyno (everything was good with the mail order tune).

The whole thing, Blower kit and tune from VMP (I had a tuner), install, dyno pulls, Aeroforce boost gauge and vent pod plus install, and two MT ET DR's mounted and balanced was right at 8 grand with tax. Figure about a grand less without the gauge and tires.
