On a side note, I don't have any cares for professional sports and I'd laugh my balls off if these leagues suddenly went under.
I'm with you there. I watch MMA because I still have some ties to it and I enjoy watching anything race. Some sports the fans turn me off (football), others the refs turn me off (basketball), and some sports the personalities turn me off (most sports). I used to watch F1 religiously and got up for every practice, qual, and race but there was a season a while back where politics were really bad and I turned it off and haven't watched a race since. If it weren't for the drama and loser fans I'd pick it back up.

Hollywood has been pumping out garbage for a long while now. I am also tired of all these batman, superman, insert comic book character here movies. Catched deadpool on some torrent site and shut it down about 20 mins into it.

You must be such an exciting person in real life.

Not my thing either, but you got to check out Deadpool, that shit is hilarious!!!!
I was going to say the same. It's not your typical Comic book character and the movie was both hilarious and shocking at the same time. Loved it. A woman in line in front of me was asking for her money back because "It was practically a pornographic film". Yeah, that made me want to see the movie even more.

While deadpool was good, I think it's being grossly hyped because it was rated R.

I went and saw it expecting to be blown away because of some reviews on here. I liked it but it's not even top 5 recent comic movies.

I never read the comics as a kid or anything, but am familiar with alot of it from games, comic cards, and just random things. So I like seeing all the new movies, then going back and reading the stories on various things.

Most any die-hard comic fan hates the new movies from what i've seen anyways.

So, no, you arent alone, but also the people that like the movies dont like them strictly because they liked the comics.

Well I guess to each their own... I grew up on comic books, I played sports, love cars, love my Denver Broncos and absolutely believe that MotoGP, BSBK, and WSBK are best racing matter but that's just me. Not all the comic movies have been great.. and lets be honest maybe even bearable. However I have to say some of the newer ones have been pretty dang good. With that said I wouldn't be the guy crying myself to sleep at night if I didn't get to see it opening night. Hell I haven't even seen Deadpool yet.... Id much rather rent it and make my own conclusions and if I like it I will buy it. To the OP hey do you Boo Boo do you but find some happiness in something... even if its hookers and blow. We can all relate to some extent;)

While not my favorite things to watch, they are usually entertaining.

This.

Although I bought all the Blu-rays (well, cause just in case that guest wants to see it again, Home Theater and all), and they are generally pretty entertaining.

That said, I have the 2nd Captain America movie which I didn't see in the theater, still sitting on my shelf to watch and the 3rd is about to be released.

But I also found out that me and Tony Stark are kind of the same person. *wink*

I didn't get into comics at all as a kid, but I still enjoy some of the movies now. Some are terrible, some are really good. Nolan's batman trilogy is probably my #1 or 2 favorite series of movies ever. The Avengers and Iron Man are entertaining. Deadpool was awesome even though I had never heard of him before the movie. I cannot get into x-men or anything superman at all though

I got one am still waiting on my bluntman and cronic movie.

Seriously though dead pool has been the best thing Hollywood has put out comic wise in a long while. They made all the xmen too kid friendly even the Wolverine movies were geared towards kids.
Deadpool was geared for adults and it had crap ratings yet still grossed an buttload of money. Hopefully that will show the producers that they can make the movies for more mature audiences and not fear the loss of Sub 13y.o. viewers that don't pay for the movies in the first place.
Suicide squad looks promising as long as it's rated R which likely won't happen.

I read comics growing up and greatly enjoy most of the superhero movies. It wouldn't be the end of the world if they didn't make them though. Everyone has something they enjoy that some other people will poo-poo. That's life.

All I want to know is why someone will take a healthy interest in something and turn it into an unhealthy obsession. You see people dressing up for a movie like Iron man or whomever and they take it very seriously. You see grown ass men dressing like pigs (is it?) during a Redskins game or like a wild silver hoodlum during a Raiders game. You see people going on twitter to follow reality stars. I've never been able to establish what causes such an obsession.

Never read comic books growing up and I'm not really big on superhero movies. The only reason I saw (and enjoyed) Deadpool was because of an SVTP forum and you guys saying how great it was. Other than that, I only like Iron Man, maybe Transformers, Dark Knight, Hulk. Like I explained here before, I can grasp the idea of a movie showing how a superhero came to be. Grabbing several superheroes of different backgrounds and stuffing them into a 2-hr movie is a fairy-tail to me

I still think wrestling is real...

Honestly, I'm not super big into the comic book world, but some of my friends are.

I wish they made movies about some of the most powerful beings in the known Marvel universe..not such peasants. Galactus, Sentry, Cyttorax, Adversary, Proteus, Sise-Neg...just to name a few. Marvel > DC..just saying.

Because it would be..

Galactus " Oh Hi i'm the most powerful being in the Marvel Universe"
Hulk.. etc etc etc " Here we are to take you down"
Galactus " No. you're done"

Movie over

Seriously, though. I never grew up reading comics, watching the shows, none of that. I sat through 1 X-Men movie and when Rogue never got naked I stopped caring other than about the $15 I spent to go in. And now it seems you can't go a week with another redux of Superman, Hulk, whoever else is out there. I just don't give two damns but some people seem they will die if they don't see them on the day they come out. The newest one I keep hearing about is this Suicide Squad crap and I fail to care. Am I the only one?

Completely agreed. I've seen like 3 or 4 superhero movies, and while all were decent, I'm not going to start caring about who should be in the next movie, knowing what happened in the prior one, understanding why so and so can't just do whatever, etc.

Hobbies are wonderful and although I have a few, I keep their importance in perspective. When you fail to do such a thing, then it becomes unhealthy and to the point of it no longer being just a fun ole hobby. There are people in our country who will fight others or get into heated arguments over a professional sports team. We have people who become enraged to the point of protesting because their favorite actor doesn't get nominated for an award. It goes on and on. All of those things are unhealthy.

Above I mentioned those clowns from the Redskins. If your papa did such a thing, well maybe not you since you seem to think it is normal, most people would say they need to wise up. Most people would be embarrassed.

I always loved reading comics and the CG makes them awesome movies visually, but I think the market is flooded right now.
