If you own a suit, wear it and take of the jacket it it's too hot. If you don't own a suit, I wouldn't buy one just for the wedding. A dressy shirt with tie and a nice pair of slacks is fine. Oh, and you can also wear a sports jacket. Main thing is to look neat and coordinated. Don't forget a nice pair of (polished) shoes.

I hope you have a nice time at the wedding.

Suit. Let the children be underdressed. As someone said before you are a guest at a big day for the couple. Show up dressed appropriately then ditch the jacket, you won't be the only one.

With that said, I feel your pain in this choice. I sweat like a fat man and can bleed through shirts no problem.
