I'd say a Fusion fits your criteria perfectly. The MazdaSpeeds are pretty nice too. Not sure about the fuel economy but some Charger RT's came with AWD.

Other options- Passat TDI AWD. Or Taureg TTV10 TDI AWD

Both have excellent power, comfort, roomy, great fuel economy, and are fairly reliable.

If TDI's aren't your deal you could go for an A4 2.0T. Pretty good room, economy, power, handling etc......If you go Euro make SURE you get a warranty. I love my A6 and I think it's pretty dialed in now but when things go wrong (and they def go wrong) it gets REALLY expensive REALLY quick.

My wife LOVES her Impreza. We have an 09 sedan in satin white and it's a really nice looking car. It served us well in the winter. I was having a hard time forces it to lose traction in the snow.
