Wow...great stories and pics!! I was planning on taking the family to Germany this summer, but prices remain high...whenever I get back, the Ring will be in the itinerary!!

Lose the fake mohawk.

Looked like a cool trip. Being military we get gas coupons for US priced gas...going to be fun taking the Cobra out on the Ring.

I agree, one of the VERY BEST EVER!

No way I could ever afford that, I am however, trying to check off some classic US tracks before I kick the bucket.

I saw a Super 7 style kit car there, was it in your run group? How did they do?

I also saw a Green Focus RS(I think) did you get a look at they it did?(I would love to rock one of those!)

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such an incredible experience, and for the thoughtful dialog and captions, JUST FANTASTIC!:beer::bowdown:

You are a very fortunate man! TOTALLY looking forward to the vids!

Re:

Wow!! Thanks for sharing the pics man.

Ive been several times. Timo Bernhard is a friend of a friend. As I understand it, they may have had to go to their backup car this year as their new one was making too much power and breaking shit. Man can I relate to that.

I did not get to get out onto the track...yet. I envy you that experience!

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like the pics! Videos should be up tomorrow, one full lap and one with some various shots.

Omg what a cool trip! That had to be a few dollars spent there....lol

A few perhaps, but worth every penny. I would rather do this once a year then spend the money at night clubs and other stuff that I won't remember in 10 years. This I will NEVER forget. Who knows, in 10 years we may be all out of fuel, and I'll be really happy that I already did this event.

Noice bro. I plan on going on there to do some laps with in the year, since im over here

That sounds like a great idea, you will have a blast!

Impressive trip there man, I really wanna visit Europe. Love the exotics. Next time try and get the ACR or ZR1 for rental!

The Z06 was my first choice, but it was already rented out. Next year will be a Vette!

Nice pics, looks like you had a great time. I hope to someday drive the ring as it's on my bucket list. What is the ball park price for a trip to the ring including car rental flight etc... This way I can start saving.

Quick recap:

3000 for the event
500 for the hotell
800 for the flight
1500 and up for car rent depending on which car you choose
A shit load of money for fuel
20 bucks per lap on tourist driving

That should do it!

Thank you very much! Cars and racing are my favorite things in life, whichg inlcudes my wife since she races cars to  I met her at the race track :)

Just random people "tagging" the most infamous track in the world! They have festival, races etc etc at this track all year round so there are always people doing stuff like that

Looks awesome, im doing the same thing next summer

I would have thought The Stig would have been there many times? ;)

Have fun!

Wow, have fun uploading all those pictures?!? lol

Was no problem, I just put them on my hard drive, and iphoto automatically upploaded them for me. Couldn't be easier!

Lol thank you but that would be a mixture of bed hair and helmet hair. But I will try next time to not have it.

Have fun in the Cobra!

I am working my way through the US tracks! Only 4 down though :rolling: and a lot more to go

The Super 7 cars can be crazy fast, but they need a lot of HP. The aerodynamics on those cars suck (relatively speaking) but they have a huge weight advantage. Personally I feel a lot safer with a roof above me due to the dangers of this track and frequent "off road" exhibitions ;)

The Focus RS is a bad ass ride, I have driven one of these before and for a small hatch-back they are insane fun!

I'm blown away... I've never seen that many exotic cars in my life, some I can't even name.... I just hope I can experience a trip like this in the near future.

Thanks for sharing man. This is why I love svtp, even though all of us cant take a trip like this, we can kind of experience it through another member. One of the coolest threads i've seen in a while.
