CSVT 1/4 mile

All magazines I've read say 15.4@ 91ish. Not the easiest car to get off the line. I've seen people get anywhere from 14.8- 17.3 stock. One guy got a 14.72 with just a K&N and Borla. If you can't get this car a 2.39 60' or less, you can hang it up. For the record, I'm in the 2.45-2.50 neighborhood.

I got a 15.3 with a slipping clutch and humid 90 degree weather. Completely stock (except a modified airbox (paper filter) and a glasspack in place of the resonator.) I can't remember the MPH.

My best stock was 15.49 @ 89. Haven't had any luck yet with mods. With the gogo juice, on a 90+ degree AND humidity & 60hp shot, I ran a 14.7.....off the bottle that day I could only muster 16.0...talk about heat killing ya

Ok...I pulled out the timeslips:

My best run was a [email protected]. On that run my 60' was 2.413.

My best 60' was 2.380...but we won't talk about my actual 1/4 time on that run.

All of this was in very hot weather and a slipping clutch. I might be able to improve them a little...who knows.

I hate you. My best is a 15.7 @86 with a 2.45 60'. The only thing making me feel better is I've only seen 2 other SVTs at this track. The modded one ran 15.2-15.4. And hes got everything short of forced induction. The other stock running 16.8-17.3:eek: I obviously have a lot of work to do.

Wow, all those times are very high for stock SVT's. I wonder what it is, track maybe? Did it seem that other cars running there were slow as well (besides Contours)? I launched somewhere around 3-3.5k, slightning slipping the clutch (as if it wasn't slipping enough already), shifting hard (but not powershifting) second and same with third. I powershifted 4th however. Remove your floormats, sometimes they get in the way. My runs were also with full stereo (2 12's), spare tire and jack.

I think its probably my car. I've got one of the lowest dynos I've ever seen for a 2000 SVT. 156 at the wheels. Pulled the air box and got 159. WOOHOO!!:rollseyes I think my driving skill has a lot to do with it also since I have yet to get a good launch out of this car. For the record, most 15sec cars(IS 300, Probe GTs,Tiburons) are in the 16s out here.

well the only difference is 5 horsepower. being the 98's had 195, and 99-00's have 200, thats the only difference power wise

Some say it's underated.

It's actually only the 2000's that people say are underated. I tend to believe it, even though my pride says I shouldn't:cryying:

The difference between the 99's and the 00's...? The 00's have a slightly lower displacement (2.49 as opposed to 2.5L I beleive) and a higher compression ratio (10.25:1 as opposed to 10:1)... Could be wrong. :-D
