why waste time wiht mufflers at all? sounds like you want an off-road H (or x, whatever) and straight pipes.

think you have it backwards

the stingers have a deeper note than slp, and the slps pop a lot more. but slp is overall "louder"

The M55 will set off car alarms a block away if combined with an O/R-X. It's also a 3" system. I've heard straightpipes and the M55 is louder; the "mufflers" are just big hollow chambers that don't muffle anything.

Yup, there is a guy in our local SVT club that cut out his stock mufflers and welded in straight pipe and his car sounded like a cooing infant next to mine.
