steering rack bushing install

Hey guys started my front bushings today. I got the pinch bolt out on the steering shaft. But the shaft wont come out. Any tips? I cant get the rack forward enough to get the rear bushings out. Thanks

Spray some WD-40 on it and wiggle it. You took the bolt all the way out correct?

Yes I did. I got it today. I just unlocked the wheel and turned it to face me and pryed it open a tad with a big screw driver. Got the control arm bushings done and will put the rack back in tomorrow.
