Yeah, I messed up. Although the circumference of a penny is about 6cm and 7.6cm for a quarter.

In the basement. Recessed lighting is great, that’s what I was curious about.

Yup. It's all recessed in my basement. I thought about doing the bar side in some cans with edison bulbs but I think I'm gonna leave it as is. I put the bar top right below the lights so that's why it pops like it does.

You can kind of see the lighting here in this pic.

I wanna see what the under bar led looks like. My bar has a pretty good overhang, need to decide if I want lighting under it.

Word. They are killer man.

Bar top is complete. I'm amazed how awesome and clear it turned out. This is some badass stuff. It was a mess though, that's for sure.

My god that looks AWESOME!!

The penny idea is killer.... love that!

Also great job with redoing issue and not cutting corners to get it done quick. End result is the reward for the hard work!!

Thanks man! I'm super happy with it.

Yea, no way I was going to leave it all jacked up like that after the time and effort put in at this point.

That penny top bar is sweet. I bet you were downing some beers doing all that tedious gluing.
Thanks I appreciate it!

Honestly... While we were laying the pennies I was drinking bourbon which almost turned bad. I got drunk one of those nights and got the ol finishing nailer out and started nailing all kinds of shit like a drunken Tim the tool man Taylor. LOL

Well.... Things have escalated a bit. lol

Buddy and I have started brewing our own beer. The first brew is a Vanilla Cream Ale. Tasted the mash before fermenting and holy sh1t it was delicious.

Got a cigar box and equipped it with a CPU fan and some earth magnets. This in turn will create a vortex to help with our yeast starter. After a day of doing work it made a big ol pancake. haha

This is the rig we are using. It's a Grainfather. Really takes all the guess work out of things, once you have your recipe you can load it into the app and boom.

I've got a video of the yeast doing work, it's pretty unbelievable. Ours has really taken off so it should accelerate the process. Hoping to transfer it into a 1/6 barrel by beginning of next week.

I also got some more goodies for my bar. I'll post some pics soon.

Coulda hit us up for the coins, I imagine everyone has a few interesting coins we'd part with so you'd have some variety.

Gonna coin the lower part? I'll send a few your way.

So cool.

Any progress on the rest of the room?

I’m hoping to get a 70inch 4K tv for the other side of my basement so I’m going to have to redo a few things on that side.

I did add a few things to the bar and built a penny patio top after my previous table flipped over due to wind and shattered the glass. I’ll post some pics once I get things rearranged in the basement.

Thank you all for the kind words and offerings. To the gentleman that asked about the bottom bar top, I’m going to leave it as is for the time being. It was a lot of work to get that looking how I wanted it.

As for the beer brewing... A buddy of mine and I recently did a NEIPA (New England ipa) that we named juicy J. It came out right at 7.2% and was sooo delicious. I’m not a huge IPA guy but everyone that tried it said they’d be a paying customer for it. I couldn’t keep it on the tap at the house, both that and the bourbon cream ale went super fast.

I’m going to try and keep two in the chiller fermenting at all times but it’s tough and takes a lot of time to brew a batch, but 100% Worth it.
