I know this is the Lightning forum but the f150 forum doesn't get viewed enough. My leaf springs make a creaking/squeaking sound on my 2000 F150. It is only noticeable when it is cold outside. Is there some kind of cleaner I can spray on the springs or some other solution? Thanks.

I remember having this problem once, turned out it was the tailgate I think. A little spray from the can (forgot what I used) did the trick.

wd-40 should do the trick.

I am almost positive it's not the tailgate. Because, if i go over a speed bump slow it creaks the whole way over it or into a parking lot.

Hit the leaf spring bushings with some WD-40. That fixed the problem same problem you're describing for me in a Ranger.
