Well...after about a year or so of not really being able to enjoy my car, due to some inspection issues, i finally bit the bullet and returned to stock and got my sticker. In 2022 itll be emissions exempt, but im going to cross that bridge when i get there.
This spring ive got a laundry list of things i want to do to my car, biggest being finally installing my C&R heat changer and re-pullying my car. Im debating if i want to re-install my O/R X pipe or not.
One of the bigger things im really contemplating is upgrading to the VMP twin 67mm throttle body. I was going to hold off on doing this until i just do the entire blower swap, either the TVS 2300 or Gen 2 or 2R. If i could manage to find a lightly used throttle body on here for around $400ish, is it a worth while investment? Can i see some decent gains?
I figure the budget to upgrade my blower is going to have to be $2500. If i can pick up some decent gains with the throttle body for now, maybe ill just save some money before doing the entire swap.
My car also has the original fuel filter from 2006-2007 in it with just under 12k miles, but before i bought the car it sat a lot. Would it be advantageous to replace it with an OEM filter or am i just overthinking? And i know alot of people replace plugs religiously on these cars. I put in NGK TR7's at approx 6k miles when i did my pulley/intake install gapped at .028 (? i believe) but i dont spend any time at the track really. Just my summer fun, spirited drive car. Should i replace my plugs again?
