Speed hut gauge install

Where are you guys putting the inverter for the gauge lighting on a pillar gauges? Can the little inverter box fit inside the pillar and it still go on? The wires aren't very long, not sure where else to put it. Ideas appreciated.

The box fits fine in a SOS a-pillar.

I have a SOS a pillar and the boxes fit fine behind it.
