I'm an engineer working with the 2-6 Cav out of Hawaii and we just got done with some training on the Big Island of Hawaii up in the mountains. These are OH-58 Kiowa helicopters and I assist the soldiers with the sight (big ball on top) Pictures were taken with iPhone so please excuse the quality.... and seeing those 58's shoot at night was a treat!

That place never changes brings back memories. I was stationed at Wheeler Army Airfield with 3/4 CAV 98-2001 I was a 15J deffenitly dont miss those gunnerys on the big Island . they still have all the wild pigs running around as well

Yep... The wild pigs and goats. I'm glad I got to go to Kona at the end of the day and stay in a hotel. Those WW2 shacks didn't look to comfortable.
