No way it will be an AWD.

It would be very difficult to push that much power (800+ HP) through an AWD system and not have parts fail.

Plus, how would they make an AWD Demon 200+lbs. lighter than a RWD Hellcat?

It is not going to happen.

Hopefully it's AWD, because that means there may actually be a Jeep Hellcat.

DR+AWD+that power is hard to believe though, at least through a factory car.

That was my thought. They better have a damn good drivetrain to handle launching 800hp on AWD with drag radials.

I'm betting it has more to do with just having a squared setup that can be rotated.

I could be wrong, but I do not know how you would do a burnout like the released Demon shows with an AWD system:

The best examples of AWD drag cars have a switchable tranfercase so they can do a burnout prior to launch. Lots of speculation on what the license plate means.

Pretty cool but I've always like the Hellcat Charger more than the Challenger.

I heard they put drag radials on all 4 corners because legally they have to have similar tires all around. Something like won't pass gov standards with a DR in back and regular up front. Not sure if thats truth or not.

My guess is they took notes from Ken Block with the Hoonicorn Mustang and hooked a chain to the back end? Or it could be like the Focus RS where you can pull a fuse and make it rear wheel only?

Cant wait, almost have bossman convinced to get one for a shop car.

If car did lose 200lbs and added awd, that means they must have switched a lot of things to lighter materials, less sound deadening, maybe even a lighter battery.
They probably deleted the rear seats, carbon hood, ds, trunk, alum engine block?

I agree with this, but who the hell puts a 315 DR up front on a RWD car?!
