Don't you all think that the solid axle was a good choice for the shelby instead of IRS. I was explaining to a guy last night about why the solid axle and that the 03-04 Cobras IRS leaves a lot of table for potenital of drag racers.

After modding my car, it kicks the living crap out of my modded and lighter 99 Cobra with an IRS!

And I am not talking about in a straight line

The GT500 handled terribly from the factory IMO but no joke once you mod it, its 100% different.

I love the live rear axle. All that power deserves an old-school differential. Anyone who's seen a broken IRS half-shaft will agree.
