So, the new CTS-V sounds pretty badass with the Stainless Works setup...

I don't get loud exhaust on a luxury vehicle. Isn't the point of these cars to be insulated from the noise, and outside world while you drive? What am I missing?

Came here to post this. I never understood the point of making big luxury sedans obnoxiously loud. I'd defintely want some growl, but not something that I could hear 3 blocks away. Would feel silly pulling up to the office in this, maybe I'm just getting old :D

That being said, I love CTSVs, but I don't think they sound very well. Maybe I just dont like most LS/LT engines tone, most sound like 2v's with SLP LM1s. There are tons that sound "nasty" and aggressive, but just like here, its not deep enough for me and sounds very raspy and tinny. Just doesn't scream luxury to me. If you close your eyes and listen to it you'd never imagine it was a 100k luxobarge.

To me something like these oems is as good as it gets. Enough burble to let people know you're in something special, but with actual exhaust character, not just noise.
