Snake or Horse

I've been noticing in the pictures that some Cobras have a snake in the grill and some have a horse. Does anyone know when they changed from the snake to the horse and why? I have the horse and got to say I prefer it.

The snake is aftermarket. The horse comes on all of them

2 polls about this topic. I like the snake for a few reasons.

#1 it's a weight saving mod
#2 it has less wind drag
#3 it allows more air flow though the radiator
#4 I have a snake, not a pony.

I've got the chrome pony, a mystichrome pony & the snake. I've had the painted pony on for a while & just switched to the cobra.
