Normal condition for stock shifter. There is a universal joint used to connect the shifter shaft to selector shaft on trans. Direct result of factory "short throw" feel and for NVH control. Root cause of 2nd grind which starts during high RPM 1-2 upshifts but gets bad enough that it will grind 1-2 upshift in normal shifting.
