OK. I've posted on Facebook but now looking for some suggestions here...
I have Vans full BMR rear suspension with H&R springs and love the stance..
Just finished putting RTS Slicks and Skinnies on and am having issues with the car looking like a 4x4...
Before:

After installing Dead Hookers with the perches as far down as they will go:

Too high for me so pulled the springs back out and put the H&R's back in...
After a delay from installing the 2012 rear rotors and caliper brackets due to the "HOW TO" in this section NOT mentioning that the axles need to be pulled:

And everything is on:

Now the downsides:

Too low in front.. Gotta pull the front splitter off for 1
2: the rear shocks are making contact inside the rear wheels due too how low the car is in the rear.... SOOO I am going to try the dead hooks again tomorrow with NO PERCHES...

Looking for some insight here..
I have seen Birddocs car in person and he has said in the lowest setting on the perches he was hitting the bump stops...
I have seen another owners car on Facebook who took the adjuster out but left the perches.. and neither of theirs are 4x4's..
Please post your pics and thoughts.
Thanks

I have the same set-up and the same look. I don't mind the front, because I didn't really want the car slammed. But, the rear is still a bit high. Let me know what you figure out.

Every car is going to react slightly different with the dead hooker spring kit system because of the adjustable perches. I've got some customers that remove the adjuster and leave the spring perch. I've got a couple that remove the perch and adjuster completely because it really depends on your rear profile tire etc. You have to work with it to find out what works best.

Additionally, Birddoc had double adjustable shocks in the rear so his compression and rebound could be set.

BITDIFFERENT your car looks good with the dead hookers and the ET Streets.

It will probably be hard to get the rear end down without it looking even worse IMO, your tires are way different heights. If you drop the back too much your fender gap in the front is going to look even bigger by comparison.

OK, so just put the dead hookers in to see if that helps my clearance issue....

It doesn't...
I already have a 3/8" spacer in the rear... Any Ideas?
Larger spacer?
Can I flip the shocks so they face the other way?

Thanks

You're going to need the ride height adjusters and I mentioned previously that Birddoc had double adjustable rear shocks and you're still running the OEM Bilsteins which is part of the problem as your picture clearly demonstrates.

Me and Dustin both moved our lower shock mounts to accomodate those rims. You can see where the factory hole was on the inside.

We have been running these springs for a while now at the track, what we have learned is you need to give it a little more ride height in the rear so you can take advantage of the weight transfer on the launch. These springs squat a bunch when you launch the car, if you lower it to far it will squat the tire right in to the fender if the tires dont tuck in all the way. Like Van said some dual adjustables also, Viking da rear shocks are really nice and inexpensive compared to other da shocks. We have the 60' time down from 1.9 to 1.5 now with just the spring change on my brothers car, it took some dialing in the ride height but now its hooking good.

My car has the FRPP L-springs in front (same SVTPP rate and lowered my car less than 1/2") and Van's Dead Hookers in the rears, otherwise, just a FRPP panhard rod and BMR panhard rod support.
This is how it sits now:

I have an appointment to drop the car off at Team Z Motorsports on Monday to install a built 33-spline 3.73 8.8" and full rear suspension (mainly BMR including their new solid upper--thanks Van :) ).
Dave the owner of Team Z built my LX and sets up the Cobra Jets for FRPP. I'm taking it to him to set it up how he feels best with my choice of strip wheels (18" Dark Stars).
In the future I may run a 15" rear with full slick, but for now I'm keeping it Street>strip.
So, I'll update you with what I end up with, but the compromise you want is hard. Street/strip is always a balance with compromises.
I hope we both find a good compromise for our goals.
I plan on racing it in True Street at NMCA Norwalk 8/23, so we shall see soon.

One point I forgot I was trying to make is that I look at the Cobra Jet and successful s197 drag cars, they all sit higher in the rear than you want.
In my experience, the lower splitter is absolute no go with the current 26" fronts avaiyou're car is lable, my primary splitter just got its first scrape with the 18s, no way you'll be able to street drive with the secondary (lower) splitter installed regularly.
Keep us updated, you're car is awesome for sure.
Also, 31 splines will not survive in a stick launch application like ours (from the other thread).
