I'm so nervous I feel as though my stomach has birds in it trying to peck away and fly to escape. I bought the girlfriend and I tickets for Christmas. Today is the day. It will be a tandem jump, so someone will be strapped to each of us. I want to hear experiences!!! How is it? Also wanted to say bye to my SVT family in case the parachute doesn't deploy, or my instructor is commiting suicide today.

In perpetual exile....
If a person has nine lives like a cat, I used 8.75 of mine before the age of 30 doing stupid stuff on motorcycles. Have fun today but I'll be stuck on 0 jumps for the foreseeable future.

This has been on my to do list for some time now, my Neice and her friends did this when they graduated High School and they loved it, they took pic's and videos and said it's something everyone should try it at least once in life. Enjoy the jump and let us know how it went.

Thanks guys. It was only $200 for the both of us, and they are going to record her. We are meeting them there at 2, and I believe IIRC we have to go through a four hour class. Then its jumping time. Don't get me wrong i'm as excited as a Young boy watching porno for the first time. I am just kind of afraid of heights. So it should work out well lol. It's something that I will be able to look back on and say that I actually did something I never thought I would do.

we had to sit through a 30 minute class at Skydive Chicago. there is a sequence of things you are supposed to do while jumping. The last thing they told us was "if you forget to do every bit of what we just told you, dont worry about it. just have fun and we will take care of it". it was an absolute blast and 200 for both of you is a great price. We paid 200 each when we went

It was awesome, at least for me. Scariest part IMO was after the chute was deployed and you feel all your weight hanging on those thin little straps, knowing all it would take is a tear.

Edit: I still remember that feeling right as i'm falling out of the plane.....Good god. Once is enough for me.

Your hooked up pretty safe you have four connection points and top two are rated at 5 k lbs each and bottom two are rated at 2.5k.

My top 2 connection points were disconnected after we pulled the chute, you literally sink down into the bottom 2 like a saddle

i've done 77 jumps now, its easily one of the greatest things i've ever done. I've never done the tandem but it saves a ton of time in classes to do it that way. Have fun and enjoy it, you wont stop smiling for days after.

Never did a tandem but earned my A license in 99. There is a big difference between jumping solo and jumping tandem.
