Just wanted to see what you all would but if you had the choice/cash. I was thinking if buying an 04 cobra but I've seem some GT 500 in the low $30's. Just want some advise. The car would most likely be a weekend car...just to drive around and have some fun...thanks

Good question, I've been thinking about this myself. GT500's keep getting cheaper and cheaper, but I still love the looks of the 03/04 Cobra's. I'd like to have both. I'm going to keep my '98 Cobra and look for a GT500 later this year. I like the thought of 500+hp.
Good luck with your decision.

Willing to spend between $25k and $35k...

That's at the low end of the GT500's and good enough for a highly moded 03'-04. Well go check both out and see. Do you need nick nacks like NAV, built in SAT, ect? If you do then a GT500 will come with that stock. A lot of people rave about the new interior of the GT 500. Not to say you can't have that all in a 03-4 but you will need to get aftermarket stuff there. Both cars can be made fast fairly cheaply so that's pretty much a wash. Keep in mind the GT500 is larger and also heavier.

I like 03-04s because they seem more like american muscle...raw power! I may get flamed for this but its my opinion. Im not taking from the gt500, it is pretty!

I really don't need the Navi or anything like that. I've driven a GT 500 and it a bigger/heavier car compared to the Termi...i'd think the Termi might be more enjoyable to drive...I would have test drive a Termi and then make a real difficult choice!!!

thats really your preference i dont care for the interior in the S-197`s i do like some of the features. but i do like the 2010`s & 11`s

so a 03-04 cobra is a no-brainer to me

I have a buddy whose family loves Mustangs. They have a GT500, 03 Cobra, 94 Cobra, 95 Cobra, 2000ish GT, 03 Mach 1, and a pair of Lightnings. Any who, he hates the GT 500! He says its too bold, heavy, and not as fun to drive as the 03 Cobra, which is his favorite. When your in the 03 Cobra you mean business, and in the GT500 you just cruise.

In my personnel opinion I think you would enjoy driving the 03 Cobra more, but the GT 500 is a car that you could get the pleasure out of driving daily, + you get all the nice interior gadgets.

I'm Termi might be a better option but I'll wait til get behind the wheel of one. The rarity if the Termi also interest me as there are 07,08,09,10 and soon to be 2011 GT500's and only a handful of 03/04 Terminators out there...please correct me if I'm wrong.

There will be far more GT500's produced than Terminators.

Please use the proper terminology. --

buy a terminator and throw a full suspension on, or find one with the work already done. once the rubber bushings are out of the IRS, and you've got a nice light k-member and coilovers up front with some subframe connectors, it will handle just as well as the corvettes out there. not to mention they have that sexy whine when you smash the skinny pedal!!
