For those that intend on exceeding 700 - 750HP, and wanting the strongest, most reliable components for their Shelby, SHM offers an SHM design CNC machined race rod. 300M vacuum degassed steel. These rods have increased section thickness for additional strength and are rated at 1600HP@9000RPM, comes complete with ARP 2000, 7/16 rod bolts. There is no stronger rod available for your GT500. $2199.

i'm just letting people know... i would never buy a motor from them... on the otherhand, "rods" that's different...

You should be able to buy those directly from Manley. They are basically a 300M 4.6 rod for a 5.4, meaning more beef and weight than a standard Manley 4340 Ultralight billet. A standard billet rod will be more than sufficient for most (Tested past 1400HP and 9000rpm) at half the price, hell even a 4340 forged H with 7/16" rod bolts is overkill for most. Mihovetz did the spec'ing for the 300M rods btw.
