Here are two things I've been very curious on, especially if you're drive the non-R model.

1.) How is the overall refinement and ride quality on the car in comparison to a regular 2015 GT? Obviously this is a track-designed car with performance as a priority, but I can't help but wonder, if in your opinion, will owners have a true car they can compete on the track with and turn around and comfortably commute to work in. I think everyone has been so glued on the design and performance of this, everything else has been an afterthought, so I'm curious.

2.) Pics of the Tech package interior trim. I've yet to see pics of these seats.

Thanks.

Just looking for a completely objective write up. There is a lot of hype surrounding this car and an objective analysis from an independent third party like yourself will be great.....have fun!

Can anyone confirm if there is a difference besides the accents red/white in the Black stripes on the R vs non-R cars

Explanation:
R black stripe kits seem to be "reflective" while non-R black stripes seem to be "glossy".

Am I seeing this right or not?

Thanks fellas. I made a list of your questions. I'll do what I can, but my top priority is driving and getting imagery. Off to the track...

Looks like they finally made a decent shifter from the factory.

A stretch, you say? Early testing shows the GT350 R — which saves another 100 pounds from the standard GT350 with tricks like carbon-fiber wheels and no backseats — lapping in the low 1.30s at Laguna alongside the Porsche.

I read somewhere that they have retasked the LEDs of the collision avoidance system to provide a highly visible shift light on the windshield. Very clever!

So low 1:30s would make it roughly as fast as an 08 ZR1 or 13 SRT Viper as driven by Randy Pobst. Perhaps faster, depending on what they mean by "low 1:30s. That's pretty damn fast regardless.

From that Detroit News link:
... Not even Ferrari’s flat-crank, $240,000 458 (which makes 570 horsepower if you’re wondering) tips the scales as light as the ‘Stang. ...

I thought the 458 weighed sub-3400? I didn't know it was as porky as a Mustang.
