I have sent out the following parts to be polished to a mirror finish for my 03 Cobra.

2 Valve Covers
2 "Powered by Ford" Coil Covers
1 Eaton Supercharger
1 Steeda CAI Cover
1 LFP I/C Reservoir

I will be getting them back soon and I have a question about sealing them.

I have 3 choices Zoop Seal, paint clear coat, or powder coat clear coat. Will the clear coat paint get to hot? I dont know what painting or powder coating them would cost, but I do know the Zoop Seal is $150 shipped. I have really been looking into the Zoop Seal and I have not seen anything bad about it.

Has anyone used the Zoop Seal on hot engine parts? What are your opinions on these three choices?

From the zoopseal website...

Can I use Zoopseal on a product that gets very hot?

Yes, you can use Zoopseal on a radiator. Heat from the radiator will help it to cure and make it stronger. Placing it on headers, valve covers and all other components are recommended, except for the exhaust. Zoopseal is heat safe up to 500 degrees F.

For a blower and valve covers, the smaller kit will probably do. It's only $99 from Eastwood:

Very nice write up  I found it when I was searching the topic.

I figure that if I decide to try the zoop seal I will go for the 75 sq. ft. kit. I found one site that is selling it for $119 and you get a free bottle of the tire shine and the car wax. It also comes with the video so that may help a little.

Wow, that stuff is pretty nice. Wish I knew about it when I had my Cobra. Especially for my polished blower. It can be a real pain trying to keep your polished aluminum motor parts (and chrome/polished stainless steel) looking "like new". Not cheap, like Top fuel said, but very effective.

Well I decided to get the zoopseal. Everywhere I looked the 75 sq. ft. kit cost $129 + shipping, except one place called rodgear.com. I got the full kit + 16oz. Zoop Shine Metal Polish and a 16 oz. bottle of Slick Stuff Tire & Trim Dressing. all for $119.98 + shipping. I ordered it last night, I will post pics once I get everything on.
