Satin black TVS - pics

Finally got off my butt and decided to paint my TVS and elbow satin black. I used self etching primer, and laid down a couple of coats of satin black engine paint. I think it turned out pretty good. Excuse the dirty-ass engine compartment. I cleaned it later.

I also did an alternator replacement and plugs that day, and didn't feel like doing that. It did occur to me, though.

Yes they are... and I'm now about to have to swap a brand new PA Performance alternator out for my new Nations alternator.

Sigh.

Yeah, I just used Duplicolor self etching primer and Duplicolor engine paint from Advance Auto. I'd used this process in painting some jetski engine parts a while back and it's held up well, so I knew it would be OK on the blower.

And BJ - whoever decided to put the alternator on the bottom, next to the frame rail, right up against the sway bar studs, and surrounded by hard lines and hoses should be wrapped in meat and thrown into a piranha tank.
