Saleen Build Thread **UPDATE**

****SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN FOR NEW PICS !!

Car is a 02 Mustang Gt currently getting a full Saleen Body kit, 3 piece saleen wing, 4in Cowl hood, blacked out taillights and decklid, smoked headlights etc. Ran into some problems with the fitment of the front bumper so I ended up having to order another one. Wheels are XXR 535 flat black 18x8.75 and 18x10.25. Car currently has Mac LT, Lethal O/R X and Borla Atak catback. After all body work car is getting a Built shortblock, along with stage 3 ported heads, stage 5 comp cams, TKO 600, built rear with 4.30s and e85.

Thanks for looking, will update this thread with more progress on the car.

How was the fit on the bumpers? Is it an authentic saleen kit?

No this kit is not authentic. It is a fiber glass replica kit, side skirts and rear bumper fit well still had to cut and modify a lil but not much. Front bumper on the other hand was a nightmare nothing lined up and with bumper mounted on car headlights would not go into place along with numerous other fitment issues. So i just ditched the fiber glass front bumper and order a polyurethane one, still waiting for it to come in as they are made to order.

Well I finally received the new front bumper and man this thing is made perfect. I just simply placed it on and everything lined up perfect. Now time to prep the bumper a little more sanding on car and time to lay some paint. Sorry for the crappy pics but didnt really have time to take any good one things are crazy today.

Well finally laid the paint down. You are looking at 5 coats of clear, yea some say that's overkill, but I wanted that SUPER wet look which is what I got. Now time to wet sand and buff like hell and then put her all back together. Still have some more painting to do, black decklid, bottom of rear bumper, cowl hood vent, etc. And color is Torch Red not Comp Orange.
