running rough

I have a 96 cobra with a good bit of work i just traded for, I stepped in it a little hard and it shut off... I assumed that it just flooded it out, got it back and let it sit 30 hours or so and just went to crank it, and it sounds like its only running on one side....

any ideas?

I am about 2 hours from home so, any ideas would help...

it boosted and died... acts like its flooded... let it sit over night and now it sounds like its running on one side

it boosted? do you have a blower on the car?

Are all your vaccum lines on the car... Check your maf to make sure there isnt a leak or the pipe came off ( if it does have a blower)

will idle but it sounds hella cammed

ummm.... do you hear any knocking, pinging slapping... anything unusual..


Who tuned the car?

No odd noises, i dont think its the motor.... I think its a fuel spark problem

I dont know... With out any details as to what its exaclty doing... It could be anything... Id start by checking your maf.. make sure its connected and there arent any leaks, then check your coil packs and spark plug wires..


whats your fuel pressure?

What RPM did you notice there was a problem?

I believe it is at 40psi, that is what it was after i shut the car off, gauge is under hood

and i was probley in the 5K range

the fuel pressure should be more around 31psi at idle..

Whats the car ideling at rpm wise?

did you just feel a sudden drop in power?

well, it puffs out black smoke so i assumed it was fuel...

but since it happened it hasnt moved... I just turned it over to see if it would run today, and it sounded like it had a hell of a cam,

alot of smoke? a little? at startup? while ideling? only at a certain RPM?

try and be more descriptive..
