Royal purple and exhaust tone?

Has anyone else ever ran regular oil then switched to something like redline or royal purple? I was running what the last owner had in the car until the due oil change and changed the oil to royal purple... after i did so the entire tone changed in the car... not only did it get deeper sounding (which i like) it got quieter (which i dont) Im running a mac pro chamber and catback as described... anyone else experienced or even noticed this?

I put royal purple in mine a few weeks ago after using some generic synthetic...nothing changed.

Id agree but ive had 6 people ask me what I did to the exhaust....

Then you have an exhaust problem. Changing oil doesnt change exhaust tone. Did you change your oil or did a shop, maybe someone tightened up the bolts on the midpipe, maybe it had a leak.

I did it myself... and there are no leaks :/.... I didnt know if it was a 4v thing or not.. cause ive ran rp in 5 others cars before this (1 being a 2v gt..) and never had this drastic of a change in sound... ever.
