Have seen Skynyrd both with and without the originals and the later bands were never the same as the original band. You just can't replace those band members especially RVZ's voice.

A legend....and he'll be greatly missed. I grew up on his stuff as well. One of the very greatest IMO. RIP Charlie!
Many high profile bands can't grasp with leaving the past in the past and they don't acknowledge they aren't who they once were when certain figures are absent. KISS, Chicago, Skynard, Queen, Skid Row, etc.., are all examples.
Skid Row??!! Really??!! Has NO PLACE even being NAMED in a tribute thread to Charlie Daniels.
RIP! I used to get down to "Devil went down to Georgia" when I was a little kid.
Skid Row were a force to be reckoned with and should’ve been bigger than they were. Jon Bon Jovi’s business sense/greed brought that band down. He was getting a very large portion of their earnings due to the management agreement they signed with him. Snake Sabo “their” guitarist was Jovi’s childhood friend and was even in Bon Jovi at the beginning. When Sebastian Bach realized what was going on he blew up on everybody
