If this is the same Golf it was running 8.60's with 100 hp less in this video. Looks like it would give some of the faster GTR's a real hard time. For an old 16v I'm sure has has a bunch of money in that motor. Looks like his useable power is not till 5500 or so. Since the tach runs out of numbers I wonder what he is shifting at?

Welcome to the world of big turbo imports. AMS used to run 55-59psi on their silver drag car. 49psi through anything with a VW badge on it though that doesn't shatter upon pressing the accelerator is impressive.

I am guessing it would be limited because of gearing so the 1/2 mile events might be better suited for the little Golf. That car has zero aero so even if it could get to 230+ I wonder how dangerous it would be. It appears to have no problem attaining 186 mph in a timely matter though.
