I'm taking the Lower Pulley apart this weekend to replace the bushings.
Does the triangle shaped cage also have reversed threads like the complete pulley assembly?

Yes..allen bolt is reverse

tri bar to allen is also reverse..

tribar is just as tight or hard to get off..

It can be done on car..but I took whole cage off..
bolted cage to something large and made a tool to hold cage from spinning. .

it took half the threads with it..had to file threads to reinstall pulley

my apologies - I thought in the op you were referring to the cage itself as it attaches at three places to the front engine cover - if you meant the internals of the trianglular center hub of the pulley itself... that I do not know.

I wouldn't want to give any bad advice to my fellow terminator brethern
