Removing Spray Tint on Tails

Im pretty sure I sanded to the bare minimum at this point. I've tried. Ultimate compound/polish, Plastx, Nufinish Scratch Doctor, and wax. I think it may need new clear coat......

your lenses should look like a mirror if you wet sand 800 grit, then 1000, then 3000, then compound, then polish. Its pretty much fool proof if you do that

This is after doing the corner side down to even 400 grit with no luck. It doesn't haze after compounding, just dark. I even had some red in my wet sand... :shrug:

use a rag and a SMALL amount of paint thinner. it will take it right off. then use a clean rag to re wipe the spot you just used the thinner on. too much paint thinner will cloud the lights. probably better off buying a new set. you can pick up new ones for like $40 on ebay

went out the garage and sprayed krud kutter on my old tinted headlights, let it sit for 20 mins and used a 400 grit sand paper on each headlight and the tint came right off.
