What also needs to be addressed is the fact that animals displaying homosexual behavior are not true homosexuals. They are committing bisexual acts since they continue in nature to reproduce with females.
A true homosexual animal should find no attraction to the opposite sex like we find in humans. If the animals are in fact attracted to females as well this may show that homosexuality is not genetic. It may show that sexual preference is more based on life experience/opinion than anything else since preferences are usually just opinions based on life experience anyways.
