If i'd be you, I'd rather think about wrapping the front bumper up to the heat extractor in some low tack protective tape for the long ride home, unless they can install a clear bra right on-site, it takes 2-3 hours.

Actually I was thinking of getting the 3M clear bra done after I pick up the car in San Fran or once I reach LA before my cross country trip. The dealership I will be picking up in San Fran has a installer they recommend locally. Or I guess I will just be searching for some recommended 3M clear bra installers on my own. Anyone can recommend a place in San Fran or LA?

No need to change the oil at 500 miles unless something has changed since they went to the 5.8L.
Ford does not recommend that as far as I know.
