Generally you can e-mail or PM a moderator even if you are not a current member on many sites.
As a last resort apply with a different name, complete that registration and immediately PM and explain what happened to the moderator. Have your original sign-up activated and your second account terminated.

Activation doesn't seem to be an issue for you.
