Hello everyone, my name is Ali and I joined here a while ago to purchase a vehicle that fell through. Anyways, I've been modding various cars for the past few years and last year, I fell in love with a 2003 Sonic Blue GT Vert (5spd of course) and paid it off this year. Well, now the modding begins.

My Saleen wheels are off getting powdercoated a certain color I have never seen before  and I noticed how Sh*tty my OEM saleen center caps looked. See below:

It's impossible to fix that chrome finish... so I had to improvise. I looked all over the internet and found nothing but expensive Saleen replacements or goofy looking stickers to put over my caps. Well, my car is sonic blue, so why not make my Saleen cap sonic blue?

If any members here are interested in having this kind of work done, I can possibly set something up to do this as a side gig if forum admin allows.

I will post various other threads full of mods as I go by. Painting/fabrication is my hobby

Edit* & Thanks to silicone sealant, these "new" caps are waterproof!

That's pretty badass, when I got my saleens they had those Saleen decals on them, but they were peeling up, so I wrapped mine in gunmetal vinyl. What color did you go with for the wheels??

Thank you. The color I chose is NIC Bentley Blue over Alien Silver which looks very similar to sonic blue.

nice touch, but those aren't oem. they normally sell for 100 or less a set, but idk what happened the other day, a set on ebay went for $250!
Damn, well they came on the saleen wheels that came with the car so I figured they were OEM. Oh well, at least now I don't feel so bad for painting them. :lol1: I don't understand why they want so much money for these and the svt/cobra R caps... I couldn't justify spending the money on any of them when they won't match my rims.

I can't wait to see pics of the wheels on the car. I'm thinking it will actually look great!

Thanks alot! You know, I was a little skeptical at first... and I liked the look of the yellow stangs with yellow wheels and the white saleens with white wheels so I figured I'd go with the blue/black theme for the car. My coater says the wheels should be done by Friday, the sooner he gets them done, the sooner I post pics!

Gorgeous car man. Please please slam it!
I appreciate it, I am actually in process of researching different ways to lower these cars. I'm leaning towards the Eibach convertible kit (approx $250). Are there any supporting mods I'd need with drop springs (caster camber plates, bumpsteer kit, x2 balljoints, etc... ) Or is that all marketing garbage?
I can't wait to see pics of the wheels on with that color! Nice work too man
Thank you! I'm anxious too, I'm going to call and bug my powdercoater later today lol.
this.

these are OEM. I paid $90 for mine.

Those look great, There's a lot more chrome to work with on them to make a more "blue" center cap. I'll have to look into those if I'm not happy with mine.
bigdog2k7,

Looks excellent man...
Thank you sir.

^ You can do suspension work forever and ever, but if you want to, you could do just springs and nothing else and get away with it. My car only has springs and nothing else. So you could do springs and then other suspension work down the road.
