I've had my 4 post lift for about 15 years and it's never had an issue but the paint has seen better days. Years of exposure to chemicals and road salt have taken their toll. Time to strip it down and refinish it with some more durable coatings!

The before pics. Rust!

More rust and peeling paint...

Disassembled everything. The small parts I sandblasted in my cabinet, larger parts we blasted outside.

The columns and some other small parts were sprayed with Raptor Liner. My original plan was to spray everything with Raptor Liner but after going through about $500 of the stuff I decided the rest would have to be done with POR 15 and a roll on bedliner product.

Miscellaneous parts coated with POR15.

All fasteners were replaced with stainless.

The runners were coated with bedliner many years ago. A lot of it was peeling or bubbled so I wire wheeled the whole thing and treated the rusty areas with rust converter.

Added a couple more air hoses for convenience and some LED lighting for undercarriage work.

Other upgrades: picked up some wall cabinets and spray can storage. Added some LED lighting under the cabinets. Also built a couple extra shelves into the workbench to store my specialty tool kits.

Finally, installed caster wheels on my shelving units so they can be moved to clean under/behind them.

It's always good to get some shop time in. Looks great! Glad you opted to refinish, instead of re purchase. Average Joe just wants a shiny new piece.
