I have a TVS swapped GT500 tuned by VMP with have a 2.4 Pulley and VMP 67mm. I’m wondering what boost I could be making and what gap on my SP471 spark plugs. Thanks!

Set them at .30 and I’m getting a lot of surfing around 1500 to 2500 and the idle is a little rough. Should I drop down to .28 or back off to .32?

Is the car fully warmed up? In general colder plugs will give a rough idle when not fully warmed up

As others have said .028-.030 is the correct gap. More info on VMP site on spark plugs and gap. Spark Plug 101

Try double checking the coil pack/boots are fully seated on the spark plug, maybe one is not making good contact.

Gapped plugs down to .28 and checked for any leaks. Still getting a nasty surging/popping maby possible detonation at 2k RPM. It also does this with no load in neutral. Going to do the idle to 5k datalog tomorrow.

I reinstalled the CAI intake and checked around the supercharger for any leaks. I ended up picking up another set up plugs and gapped them to .32 to start with. The car is running great and no more surging/misfire around 2k.

Your plugs had nothing to do with the idle hunting.
