Like the title, got my 13W v-LEDS in yesterday but they weren't plug an play like I expected. Ordered the plug harnesses last night so I can install the "bulbs" correctly, mount the small 1" square ballasts and solder the free wires to the new harness to make them "plug and play". I'll post pics up with stock comparisons for those that care. I'm still looking for true projectors that will fit in the stock mounting. Lots online have had good and bad stories about 25W HIDs in their stock housing regarding melting. Might try that if I can't find a better solution. Also looking for good 35W 5000K halogens to try. 5202/9009/H16 are a pain to find

Awesome! I would put the blue lights in the driving lights. Be careful with those HID's in the lower grill. I have heard stories of blowing the whole electrical system or melting of the wiring. I am all for doing this as well, so very interested in the outcome of this project. God bless and be safe!

Yeah, I knew that they were not pug and play just from the on-site pictures... Can you just splice into the OEM harness w/the supplied ScotchLoks? I'm thinking about picking up a set and will probably just solder them to the OEM wiring... if this is feasible??? I'd like to know your evaluation as far as them matching the OEM headlights once installed... 400 lumens should be bright, but still will not throw as much light as the OEM halogens at 900 lumens. FWIW, I had my reflectors melt with the 25w HIDs... a costly experiment. LEDs are my only option now...

Yes. You could just cut and solder but until I know I like them didn't want to cut the factory harness. This soldering will make it completely and quickly reversible. If I end up trying the HIDs, it'll be the 25watt kits that are plug and play with the thin ballast from Spencer's or I'm just concerned about reports of even the 25w causing melting in a few cases.

Makes sense...

The immediate surface in front of the car looks bright, but the distance looks as shallow as my LEDS.

Do you have a link, or the part numbers to everything you needed for this install?

Looks good Doc. They appear to match the OEM headlights pretty well based on the pics. How do they appear/match in person? Any blue tint or are they just white? Thanks!

They're just white. Head on, exact match to headlights. Off center or above, the headlights look bluer because of the refraction from the projector lens. Used just the fogs to pull my car down the drive and into the garage and could see pretty good

Just out of curiousity, why didn't you order the bulbs from autolumination.com? They are cheaper, in stock and look like the same stuff, am I missing something?
