Edit: it’s dead. I propped it up for a photoshoot in case anyone was wondering.

A sculpture called “Long Term Parking” located at the Château de Montcel in Jouy-en-Josas, France. This 60 feet (18-meter) high sculpture consists of sixty mostly French cars set in 40,000 pounds (18,000 kg) of concrete. It was created in 1982 by a French-born American artist named Armand Pierre Fernandez (1928–2005).

I yearn for the exceptional automotive designs we had back then. Most of today's cars just follow the same exterior design elements. At least the 1970 Plymouth/Dodge looked very different from the Chevelle/GTO, etc. There was no mistaking a Ford, Chevy, Pontiac, AMC, Dodge, or Plymouth. Even the 1950s and 1960s produced some exceptional car designs. Teslas, for the most part, (just to name one manufacturer) are blah and generic. No thanks.

Used to be I could name every car on the street, now they are all pretty much exactly the same
