OK, a couple of observations. First, the guy dropping the tree is masterfully skilled and I'm in awe, but how about the person standing in front of the drop zone...never flinched. at. all.

I am impressed with the skills of the guy dropping the tree. The man at the road has balls of steel, or he is completely wasted and has no idea what is going on.

damn commie jets always crashing at airshows.. a lot of people were killed in that one, dismembered, disemboweled, decapitated etc...including kids.

I have zero interest in being anywhere near the strip at an airshow.

Those crowds would have never been that close at a US Airshow, there would have been a larger margin of safety from the flight line. The aircraft would not have been permitted to make maneuvers that put the momentum of the performance towards the crowd either.

I hear you there...but I would much rather watch from afar. Some of the little planes really push the limits and if you’re in a crowded area and things go wrong in your direction there is no escaping.

The thing about being at the top of yer profession is that you can make a bad situation good and it will look like "luck".

I would bet you any amount of money that he could do that same exact thing 99 out of 100 times.
