Race against my friends WRX and Mazdaspeed 6???

I'm not usually one to bench race but.... I couple of my friends have been hounding me for weeks since the weather has been getting warm about going to the track this summer. One has a 06 WRX with full exhaust, suspension, and a tune. The other has a 05 or so Mazdaspeed 6 with a cat-back. We'll be hitting up the quarter mile around June or so to test their theories, which are that they can and always beat up on Mustangs with their turbos and all wheel drive lol. BTW my car is an 09 GT500 with JLT, off-road X, axleback, Evo tune, Nitto DRs, suspension mods, and in a couple weeks 3.73s and a 2.6 pulley with heat exchanger... Apparently because I have RWD and too much power I won't be able to hang.... Thoughts????

The AWD car will out 60' you if he can drive and then by the 8th mile you will be passing him while he is standing still. You should trap closed to 120mph with your upcoming mods, while he will be around 105mph. Thats my 2 cents worth.

Having owned a heavily modified, well built STi....you will destroy them. It's just a WRX....and Mazda 6 with very light mods. You need to put some money down.

Haha yeah I figured this would get a good laugh. I'm not worried and confident that I'll easily win. I just see these guys alot and get an earful every time I do. The GT500 is too heavy, too much power to put down, too much wheelspin, etc... I'd rather hear their excuses when they get stomped

The AWD car might jump you out of the hole, but once you hook up, you'll fly by him. It's going to be ugly.

Be sure to not race at an 1/8th mile track. You should kill them in the 1/4.
