Question about S197 wheel fit: any difference between 05-10 and 11-14?

Are there differences in the S197's, in terms of which wheels will fit. Specifically, spacing/offsets. Will any wheels that fit on a 2005-2010, also fit on a 2011-2014? Also, any differences between which wheels will fit on the V6 vs. the GT (aside from the models with Brembos)? :rolling:

Thanks.

to knowledge all mustangs 05+ use same wheel spacing and all. anything 04 and below use different spacing.. for instance an 04 mustang wheel would stick out further than an 05+ wheel. im not 100% but I know this is the case on my car with 04 mustang offset.

Thanks for the feedback.

I can't see sigs (at work) but do you have a newer Mustang with older wheels? Maybe I misread your post?

yes mine has a different off set. it has 22mm offset instead of 40mm which is what is run on the newer cars. what this does is push my rim out further as opposed to sucking it under. it depends on the style you prefer

The above is true with one acception, you can not install 15" front wheels on "11-"14 non Brembo cars, without changing the caliper brackets and rotors from a "05-"10. Ford Racing sells a conversion kit that will allow you to install 15" wheels on the front. FRPP p/n M-2300-D. Kit includes two caliper brackets, two 12.4" rotors and 4 caliper bracket bolts.

Stock "11-"14 non Brembo cars can run skinny 17" front wheels for drag racing and even 17x7 fronts for a daily driver. If you want to run a 15x10 rear wheel on a "11-"14, you will need sway bar relocation brackets. And I'm almost positive this goes for both V6 and base brake GT models. FWIW, in the past I have tried a friend of mines 18" FR500 wheels on my base brake equipped 2011 GT and they fit perfectly. He used them on his 2009 GT500.
Hope this helps.
