I have my head set on picking up a E... just cant make my mind up whether I should wait a couple of years and pick up a biturbo or just get a '10 '11 E63.

I have plenty of pics on this forum, search vossen wheels on E55. Go for the W211 e55, you can buy a nice 03, well maintained for $18K-$22K. There are tons of mods out for them now, and Weistec just came out with a 3.0 Twinscrew package for it. The package is reasonable at $8,000.00

Speed driven is also come out with a Whipple 2.9 package for less but they have not released pricing yet. The E55 in this vid is making around 460rwhp/520rwtq and you saw the collateral damage it does. Most full bolt on e55's are around 530rwhp/580rwtq and running low 11's, full weight.

These cars make so much power under the curve it is hard to believe that a 4100lb car making 520rwhp/570wtq can run a 10.59, case below, couple others too:

With the 3.0 weistec or 2.9 whipple, numbers are estimated at +600rwhp/+700rwtq which will put these cars in the 9's.... The real question will be, can the tranny and rear axles handle the hit.

I would love to see an many terminator owners transition into these cars in the future. Let me know if you have any questions and I will help you in terms of what to look for when buying.

Bone stock they make around 430rwhp/490rwtq on a Dynojet. Couple guys have just replaced the heat exchanger pump, slapped in drags and you are into the high 11's:)

Your car is sick man. However I wouldn't claim victory over anything if I red-lighted. Just my opinion. Looked like the vette was sleeping at the light as well. Again sick merc though.

The E55 did redlight and the Zr1 was reeling him in quickly. From a roll it wouldnt be a race. Hard to compare a manual car to an auto car with similiar power, no matter how good the driver is imo.

I don't like the looks, I like the price though. Why so cheap? I would much rather have a c63, which you can get ones a couple years old for 45-50 with low miles.

Is there any issues or things that are prone to fail? suspension or head bolts like c63 etc. Are rotors crazy expensive like the c63? The transmission is a 5 speed auto right

Are they non lsd too unless the car had the 2 or 3 thousand dollar package? That is ridiculous.

Even though he redlighted the E55 ran an 11.63 and the Vette ran an 11.81

Yeah, cuz we know that a 128mph trap speed is conducive of a 11.8 ET.

Yes the merc got there quicker on that run...but it isn't exactly faster than the zr1 in question.

Last week at the track I ran a 12.6 @ 112 while an 07 GT500 ran a high 12 @ like 125. Does that make my car faster than a bolt-on/pullied GT500?

No, you just to be a better driver than the guy who was in the GT500.

Besides, the OP has a car that runs a consistent and solid 10 seconds in the quarter mile, as per the video links he posted above. This runs just happened to be a significantly slower due to weather conditions and had it been permitting, there's no doubt in my mind that a ZR1 wouldn't catch OP's car anytime soon...

ZR1 is a blower car too in case you forgot so it will suffer the same heat issues and even worse since it is stock. The tuned E55 can have the timing tables altered to accommodate heat better. Also it was on runflats to boot.

Worlds fastest stock ZR1 with a tire went 10.26@135. These cars are constantly adding or pulling timing there is no zero point.
