I'm a new terminator owner and I want some veteran advice of what pulleys and sizes I should get to get more boost out of my stock supercharger. I currently have a mid-pipe back exhaust and RAI w/plenum and a diablosport predator. I GREATLY APPRECIATE ALL ADVICE IN MY QUEST FOR MORE HP!

What's this search you speak of

icwutudidthar

OP,

2.76 Upper for a stock blower if you want most power. Some people are going to say the 2.76 is too much and to do a 2.93. I have a 2.76 with no issues. Make sure after changing the pulley you get a dyno tune. And get new idlers while you at it, and a snub idler. And you'll need a new belt.

Oh yeah, SEARCH

I did a search fellas, but after trying numerous keywords I couldn't find any helpful information to my specific questions.

I noticed that there are different size pulleys....what is the difference for lower pulleys and what specific ones do I order for my stock setup besides the 2.76 upper?

if any of you have ever tried to search here, it sucks. half the time no matter what you type in you wont get any responses.

OP, I would suggest either a 2.76 or 2.8. only difference would be how much you wanna spend and if looks matter to you. if you want a cheap one and dont care about colors, go with steeda who sells a 2.8 and 3.0 pulley kit for 90 bucks, then just put on the 2.8 and forget the 3.0. or if youd like some flash under the hood go with a billetflow 2.76, which are 130 i believe.

as far as what else you'll need, a dyno tune isnt necessary as long as you have an option in your handheld for boost increases/pulley sizes. if not, then yes you need a tune. dont mess with the lower pulley, with a stock eaton a 2.76/2.8 will get you right at the max. However it is a good idea to get an auxilery idler, it bolts below the supercharger pulley and basically just helps the belt wrap around it more. Also a good upgrade is the upgraded idler setup, but they're a little pricey. You may or may not need a belt, i have a 2.76 and the billetflow idlers/aux pulley set and my stock belt fit perfectly.

I'm replying here in regards to the message you posted. If you have the stock blower (not ported), a lower pulley will not be necessary. It has been done and I believe you wouldn't want to do anything but a 2lb lower, but I would highly recommend, with a stock unported blower, to just do an upper pulley. Like I said, if you're looking to get the most out of your stock blower, I'd do either a 2.76 or a 2.93 upper pulley. If you already have a intake, plenum, midpipe, and catback, all you need is a pulley and a tune. I recommend a dyno tune...

For brands, I have a billet flow and I like it, but there are other brand such as steeda, metco, ect. It's basically a matter of what you think looks best. Don't worry about a lower with a ported blower though. If you go ported you'll have to mess with the injectors, maf, and fuel pumps. The search function does suck, but what I do is go to google, type in whatever you are trying to search for and right after just type "svtperformance" and you should be good to go.

if you wish to keep the stock fuel system (no pump no maf upgrades needed) then go wtih a 2.93 upper (billetflow) along with their 4 peice idler set (includes snub idler bracket and extra pulley for better belt wrap for less slip).

other than that you will need new plugs, I recommend TR6-IX gapped .38 (iridum ones) or just the TR6 coppers gaped .32

You then will require a retune, cant mail order that you got to have it dynoed to ensure its safe and your maf/fuel pump etc are ok (not maxed out). I recommend SCT brand tuner and find a good tune guy in your area.

The only way I find anything in search is to click the "advanced search" then type what I want in the google box with SVT performance button selected. That has worked fantastic for me!
