I wanted to tell everyone to check the seam sealer in the trunk area around the hinge. You might have a costly repair in your future, if neglected. My car was painted a couple years ago and I was never happy with that area, so I decided to fix it.

I also had pin holes in the seam sealer that was done when it was painted.

I ground down some areas and filled with new seam sealer and painted it.

This is my brother in law’s 2001 Cobra that got real bad.

The seam sealer was still in there, but peeled from the edge.

I ground down bad areas, treated rust, used por 15, primed, seam sealed, and painted.

Keep an eye on the area and keep it clean!
