Dwayne Gutridge has said it (the optimal PSI) varies from track to track. start @18psi & drop until the 60' stays the same or goes :smmon: the wrong way
I am down to 11.5 PSI hooked a 1.60 thinking about trying 11.00 remember they go up about 1 PSI on an average burnout, dont be scared. The street is different I put in 20 psi cause nothing hooks on the street anyway.
I just got the 315 X 35 X 17's and they hook just fine on the street in first gear under full boost "now" while they are new, but so did my smaller sizes of MT's and previous BFG's. I think these 315's will hook longer and I am doing my best NOT to spinn them.
My new favorite tire at the track is the MT 26.5 X 11.5 X 17 Bias Ply ET Streets. I can dump the clutch at 5500 and hook this BEOTCH to a 1.72 so far. Now If I just had the guts to KEEP MY FOOT IN IT! I don't know if "I" am letting up or being thrown back so fast that my foot get's loose, but it sure id awesome.
