Yes. It was a polio hospital. We gutted it and added two stories on the wings, and another 4 stories to the center, plus the large steel structure in the middle that will have the covered car check and unload area and lobby on the 1st floor, restaurant on the 2nd, Rooms on the 3rd and a private suite on the top floor.

And yes, it is haunted. I've seen a ghost. Several of the workers have seen and heard a little girl. All of the best hotels are haunted.
Will you advertise the haunted factor? I keep thinking of The Shining and the Overlook Hotel as well as the movie 1408.

Yes? not like I told the dude he had to answer (which he did answer part of it). Was mostly just curious ballpark range of how much it costs to build something like that from the ground up and expected time for return on investment. Guess thats not allowed here.

We are about a year out from this being open, and wow do we have a lot of work to do.

Amenities include:
  • Indoor and outdoor pools
  • multiple restaurants and bars
  • Full size regulation olympic size pool
  • Tennis and pickleball courts
  • Sports complex with football and baseball fields
  • 4,000 seat colosseum for concerts, plays, and also converts to full size basketball court
  • Massive fitness center
  • Large ballroom for conventions, weddings and other venues
  • Two wedding chapels
  • 9 hole par 3 golf course designed to closely mimic some of the best par 3's in the USA.
  • 5K race event area and walking trail also containing outdoor fitness areas

So do Molly and I get VIP status? Lol.

Jeff, it will be great when you establish casino status with that magic 600 rooms number becomes a reality. Keep us updated on the construction progress, of course.

Damn impressive looking build. Seems perfect for weddings as everyone can stay on site, have the ceremony, get drunk, not have to drive, etc. I stayed at a nice Hilton 2-3 months ago and I saw online it had a pool. I walked around the place, and couldn't find it. I asked the front desk person and they looked at me like I was stupid. Luckily another worker 10 feet away started laughing and said it was removed 4 years ago when they redid the building, and turned that space into a banquet hall for weddings. He even joked, "Pools cost money, weddings make money."

Yeah, wedding venues like this are GOLD. We have two in my area (one in particular), and they make a lot of money. Neither has accommodations. This, I predict, is going to be a huge winner because it isn't just for weddings. Conventions!!!
