Curious if anyone has pictures of what they have done to their power steering lines

Made custom ones? Mine seem to wanna lay right on my up pipe and I don't want that happening

I haven't use this myself but if you're so inclined - a diagram to convert the power steering to AN lines. At least this way you can route them however you'd like. I totaled this up at one point and if I recall correctly I think was like $250 in parts to complete. (Note: I'm assuming the 03/04 Cobra's and Mach 1's have the same hydrobroost unit. I do know the ones in earlier cars do have slightly different fitting sizes).

Oh wow thanks for that guide, I do have means to make my own hydraulic lines at work I may go that route but braided line would look so much better of course

Well I got all my shit, lemme just say don't order from an fittings direct
Their line sucks so much it is the hardest thing to work with. I certainly wouldn't trust it under pressure since I can't even get one together
Gonna order all Russell stuff after I return this junk

I just did my whole system using Russel fittings and their PTFE lined stainless power steering hose. Came out sweet. I used the guide above and changed a couple things to my liking. Made the whole system 100% AN with an aluminum tank as well.

Would you mind doing a small write-up and sharing what you changed and post some photographs?

For the guys that have done this - What fitting are you using on the pump and have you driven the car for any significant amount of mileage? The pump fitting listed in the diagram doesn't even have an o-ring on it. I can't believe that wouldn't leak?

The land of commies and socialists!
This thread could not have come at a better time. I just removed all the lines for that system on my car and was thinking about what it would take to re-route everything and clean that area up.

Does anyone know what the psi is of the high pressure lines? I don't want to get say 750 psi lines when I actually need 1000 or higher. I'd honestly rather run black cloth braided instead of steel but I doubt the psi rating is high enough.
