well i finaly took the step and posted my 03 cobra on craigslist and i hope it sells fairly quick so i can cross over to the dark side and get me a vette. not sure why i have had a kick to get in a vette lately but i think its time for a change. it was hard to submit the post though. took me along time to even get myself to do it. anyone else ever have a hard time wanting to let go of their cobra?

thats funny you say that, but imo there is always ways to make a vette fast. im not worried about hp losses but more on the new car ich im scratching. btw 630 hp gets old about a week after having it. so its like dumping your girlfriend for a hotter one.

vette schmette....i would NEVER get rid of my cobra...and certainly wouldnt do it for a vette. maybe if it was some brand new, supercharged, bad ass vette....but other than that...nah. it just seems like two vastly different breeds of people (cobra/vette people), and i just cant see myself over in the vette owners group, with all of the other old ass men. maybe in about another 30 years, when im in my mid 60's though lol.

you guys can hate and i dont have a problem with it. i have built mustangs since the late 90's and i am rounding the age to fit in with vette people. plus im young enough to shock people that i own a vette. to each their own. i have had fun with the cobra, but now i want a turn key sports car that i can pull out once a month to enjoy.
vetts are common enough for me not to stick out, mustangs are around quite a bit and most people dont know enough to know what a cobra is. i have been known to build cars so even though it is slower the day i buy it does not mean it will be the slow vette on the street when im done.

I hope you wait out for a z06. They have come down a lot in price. You might be surprised at the deals you can find. Forget all the haters on this board, the C6 Z06s are gorgeous and seem to do everything very well.

Unfortunately there really isn't anywhere to turn a key on a newer C6.
